When searching for a nutritional programming you have two options:
Template or Individualized.
I am not going to go into too much detail on a template based nutritional protocol.
Mainly, I wanted to discuss why I 100% believe in individualizing someone’s nutrition prescription.
Everyone has different goals.
A nutrition plan will look different from someone whose goal is weight loss, aesthetic or performance based.
Adding to this, goals change.
6 months ago I was training to be a high level CrossFit athlete, but now my goals are simply to move and feel better plus maintain my physique. My prescription completely changed.
Everyone has different nutritional histories.
If someone’s history consists of under eating/over training we cannot simply use a formula to calculate their macronutrient goals.
Sometimes, it’s not as simple as calories in and calories out.
For example, I have a new client who was severely undereating, we have been increasing her food intake and she has lost 20 pounds in 2 months.
Last but not least, life happens, we get injured, sick and vacations happen.
Our nutrition should be able to change.
These are just some of the reasons why my nutrition program is customized to your life and goals.
