Good Morning and Happy Weight and Wellness Wednesday.
As we navigate through the Holiday Season and want to minimize the caloric damage, don’t forget liquid calories. I am referring to the ones in addition to sodas and juices.
A standard 1.5 ounce serving of 80 proof alcohol has about 100 calories…before you add any mixers…which often are…regular sodas and juices, which often add another 100 calories per drink.
You can see, with simple math, that after 4-5 drinks, you have consumed 800-1000 calories. Sure adds up fast. Beer and wine, thought to be healthier than liquor, can have similar caloric additive effects…if you know what I mean!
Drink responsibly and don’t drink and drive!
