Check out our interview with this months member of the month Wes.

How old are you and where are you from? I am 28 years old and live in Hoschton but originally from South Carolina. Go Gamecocks!!

What hobbies do you have outside of the gym?  I am a self-proclaimed foodie and craft beer enthusiast. I love grilling/smoking on my Big Green Egg on the weekends. Also, I help coach middle school football.
How has fitness affected your life? When I started at Forge-Rx, I was the heaviest I had ever been (227 lbs) in my life. Attending classes at Forge-Rx has given me the confidence that anyone who puts their mind to it, can meet their goals.
Sticking to a fresh, whole food diet has helped me lose 29 lbs and two pants sizes overall. I used to drink 3-4 Diet Cokes per day but have replaced them with flavored seltzer water. I have cut out fried foods almost completely from my diet and feel the best I ever have.
What is your favorite and least favorite exercise? BURPEES!!
What is the hardest challenge you have had inside the gym? Building the confidence to come into the gym or any class and feel like I can complete any workout prescribed.
What accomplishment inside Forge-Rx are you most proud of?  Being able to jump on a cardio machine or run in class and not feel like I am going to die three seconds into the run.
Tell us one thing about you people probably don’t know? I am a Special Education Teacher for Barrow County Public Schools.
What is the biggest goal you have accomplished since joining Forge-Rx? Breaking the 200lb mark on the scale. I have not weighed under 200 lbs since high school.
What do you like best about our classes? The camaraderie of everyone in the class and the constant encouragement from the coaches and members.
What do you like best about our coaches? The biggest thing that I have noticed is how the coaches make a point to remember your name and get to know you. They always push you to do your absolute best and make sure you get the most out of the workout.
If you could have dinner with one dead or alive celebrity who would it be and why? I am not afraid to say that I actively follow WWE, so I would love to have dinner with The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin.
What food should not be in your pantry? Cosmic Brownies! Man, I love those things.
What is your most embarrassing moment?  While learning how to drive a manual transmission, I stalled out for three complete light cycles in front of the Mall of Georgia holding up traffic. I eventually had to roll my window down and wave cars around until I could figure it out.
Describe your perfect night? Going out for a nice dinner with my wife.
What is your favorite thing about Forge-Rx? I love the family feel of the gym.
What is your biggest fitness goal moving forward? I would love to be able to squat double my bodyweight.
We love having you apart of the tribe man!
