Forge is proud to name Luke and Callie Jones our July Member(Couple) of the Month!

How old are you and where are you from?

Calli: 26, Winder

Luke: 26, Dalton

What hobbies do you have outside of the gym?

Calli: Dancing/Teaching Dance, watching the Bachelorette, and snuggling my beagles

Luke: shooting my bow, listening to podcasts, currently reading Own The Day Own Your Life by Aubrey Marcus, and cooking

How has fitness affected your life?

Calli- Fitness has affected my life in a million different ways. I own a dance studio so it is very important that I am in shape to keep up with the kiddos and to represent my business in a positive way. Growing up, I wasn’t active at all. I just wasn’t raised that way but about halfway through college I realized that I had to make a change not only for the sake of my dance career but also for myself mentally and physically. Currently my husband and I make our fitness lives very much a priority. We both keep each other in check with our diets, workouts, and motivation.

What is your favorite and least favorite exercise?

Luke: FAVORITE – heavy squats because they make me feel strong and confident

LEAST FAVORITE – Foam roller bench press

What is the hardest challenge you have had inside the gym?

LUKE: The hardest thing I have found for me is sometimes seeing people who might be multiple steps ahead of me in their fitness journey and me comparing their successes with what only feel like small accomplishments for me. I have realized it is not a competition amongst the other people in the gym but rather a competition within myself. I strive to make myself better, push insecurities aside, and look up to but not compete with the other people around me.

What accomplishment inside Forge-Rx are you most proud of?

Calli: I am most proud of myself whenever I can complete a Level 3 workout! I try to make that a goal when I walk into class. Even if I have to modify something like pull ups and opt for the band. I try to keep my reps at the same prescribed number as everything in Level 3. Pushing yourself is sometimes the hardest battle. Most of the time the thing that separates us from Level 3, Level 2, or Level 1 is just mental baggage. Not actually a physical inability.

Tell us one thing about you people probably don’t know?

Calli: Mexican Food is nasty – straight up nasty.

Luke: I used to take gymnastics. My toe touch game is strong.

What do you like best about our classes?

Calli: The PEOPLE! I love my peeps in the 9am and 12pm classes.

What do you like best about our coaches?

Calli and Luke: Meg! She’s our girl! Her ability to motivate but still keep it fun keep us coming back to class and working hard!

If you could have dinner with one dead or alive celebrity who would it be and why?

Calli: Emma Stone because she’s my girl crush.

Luke: Cindy Crawford in her prime.

What food should not be in your pantry?

Calli and Luke: Pop-tarts, Double stuffed Oreos, Cupcakes, and Sour Gummy Worms.

What is your most embarrassing moment?

Luke: dancing just a little too erotically to some Shakira at a church lipsync battle. Obviously I didn’t win.

Describe your perfect night?

Calli: April 25th – because it’s not too hot and it’s not cold. All you need is a light jacket. Kidding. My perfect night would be:

Beagles + Hulu + Steak Dinner + Vodka Scrabble + Luke

Luke: Sitting on the beach drinking margaritas until sundown with Calli then watching a firework show. Fireworks are WAY more impressive when you’ve been drinking.

What is your favorite thing about Forge-Rx?

Calli: My gym wife, class friends, and sweating my booty off.

Luke: the classes and the family style environment.

What is your biggest fitness goal moving forward?

Calli: To slim it down but keep the booty

Luke: To get to 190lbs and 10% body fat

Keep being awesome you too!!!!!
