Kim Hewitt

How old are you and where are you from?

  1. I grew up in Gwinnett County. I currently live in Monroe (Bold springs).

 

What hobbies do you have outside of the gym?

Golf, watching all sports, especially college football – UGA Bulldogs

 

How has fitness affected your life?

Fitness motivates me to do and feel my best.

 

What is your favorite and least favorite exercise?

Favorite – deadlifts

Least Favorite – Turkish get-ups (I’ll get them one day!)

 

What is the hardest challenge you have had inside the gym?

Mastering back squats

 

What accomplishment inside Forge-Rx are you most proud of?

Being able to lift heavy weights

 

Tell us one thing about you people probably don’t know?

I’m a 5 year cancer survivor. I had primary central nervous system lymphoma.

 

What is the biggest goal you have accomplished since joining Forge-Rx?

Every time I do something I always try to do a little better the next time

 

What do you like best about our classes?

The people who work out in the classes with me!

 

What do you like best about our coaches?

They are encouraging, motivating, and care that I meet my physical goals

 

What food should not be in your pantry?

Cheese Puffs – I don’t buy them, but I eat them!

 

Describe your perfect night?

I’m low key. Just a dinner out and come home to hang out at the house

 

What is your favorite thing about Forge-Rx?

The people – from the people who work out, to the coaches, to the staff. I look forward to coming to gym!

 

What is your biggest fitness goal moving forward?

I’d like to continue increasing my strength

 

Melissa Harrell

How old are you and where are you from?

38, Dade City, FL

What hobbies do you have outside of the gym?

Crocheting and Flower Gardening

How has fitness affected your life?

It gives me balance, it’s the one time during my day I think of nothing else but myself.

What is your favorite and least favorite exercise?

Favorite – deadlifts least favorite – everyone knows I hate running, lol.

What is the hardest challenge you have had inside the gym?

Confidence, everything about the gym can be intimidating.

What accomplishment inside Forge-Rx are you most proud of?

Strength, I started out with the smallest weight possible or none at all.

Tell us one thing about you people probably don’t know?

I fix things, I’m a DIYer and I have been known to fix my own car.

What is the biggest goal you have accomplished since joining Forge-Rx?

Consistency, I have fallen in love with they gym and go consistently. I improve consistently and push myself consistently.

What do you like best about our classes?

You can go at your own pace, and it doesn’t take long for you to notice a change.

What do you like best about our coaches?

They are invested in you as a person. They push you when you need it and recognize when something is just not working for you.

If you could have dinner with one dead or alive celebrity who would it be and why?

Reba, I’ve been a fan of hers since I was young. I always wanted red hair because of her.

What food should not be in your pantry?

Honestly probably nothing, like there isn’t anything in there but some brown rice and some panko bread crumbs.

What is your most embarrassing moment?

I had a meltdown as an adult on a ropes course, it was the one designed for all ages not the advanced.

I got part way through and needed to go across the cargo net grabbed the rope to start across and freaked out.

I was crying hysterically and wouldn’t budge, an employee had to come up and coax me the rest of the way.

A line of several people had built behind me, and the icing on the embarrassing cake was a little girl about 9 telling me not to be afraid and I could do it.

Describe your perfect night?

Dinner and a superhero movie with my favorite crime fighter. Oh, don’t forget the popcorn.

What is your favorite thing about Forge-Rx?

The people, staff and other members have become family to me.

What is your biggest fitness goal moving forward?

I want to ride the Gambler next year, I’ve always wanted to and haven’t. I started riding again a couple of days of week and man has Sprint calls paid off.

 

Tammy Mcbrien

How old are you and where are you from?

53 y/o from Conyers, GA.

What hobbies do you have outside of the gym? Gardening, reading, following football, baseball and going to watch my 5 yr old nephew race motorcycles.

How has fitness affected your life?

I feel better.  I have more confidence. And, the gym is my stress reliever after a day of work.

 

What is your favorite and least favorite exercise?

Favorite: Anything Abs and Core

Least favorite: Burpees and running.

 

What is the hardest challenge you have had inside the gym?

Keeping up with the Millenials. 🙂

 

What accomplishment inside Forge-Rx are you most proud of?

Meeting and sometimes exceeding what my coaches expect of me.

Tell us one thing about you people probably don’t know?

I was born on New Year’s Eve.

What is the biggest goal you have accomplished since joining Forge-Rx?

Getting stronger 💪🏻

What do you like best about our classes?

Everything………..except burpees and running!  I also like my coaches and classmates. Plus all the support I get from everyone. <3

What do you like best about our coaches?

They are extremely dedicated to us, to include making sure we adhere to proper technique, so we don’t get hurt.  They have pushed me beyond limitations I thought that I had.  I also seriously consider them friends and mentors.
If you could have dinner with one dead or alive celebrity who would it be and why? Charlie Hunnam……………..if you don’t understand, I ain’t saying!

What food should not be in your pantry?

You mean freezer, as opposed to pantry, right?  Ice cream.

What is your most embarrassing moment?

Haven’t had one yet.  Let you know when I do.  hahahaha!

Describe your perfect night?

Spending time with my husband.

What is your favorite thing about Forge-Rx?

All my classes, all the staff and all of my fellow classmates, especially my two other partners in crime, Kim and Melissa.

What is your biggest fitness goal moving forward?

Achieving a healthy lifestyle and getting closer to my goal.
