There are so many amazing reasons why you need fitness in your life. I want to first start off by saying, I completely understand how hard it is to take that first step in purchasing a gym membership, but once you do you will never look back. Here is why:
Confidence. It is so cool to see people grow within themselves every day they walk into the gym. Everything from their posture, eye contact, and willingness to start a conversation gets better. As your confidence grows in the gym it will spread to other aspects of your life. Your ability to mumble less when you order coffee at Starbucks, run a meeting at work, and finally ask that person on a date all become more natural.
Function. Whether you have a personal trainer or take group classes, daily tasks will get easier. Picking things off the floor, grabbing your groceries in one hand, and walking up your stairs without getting out of breath will happen once you become stronger and more mobile. That back pain you have been having? Yeah, it might disappear.
Friends. You will find your best friends through fitness. I shouldn’t guarantee this, but I kind of want to! It brings a huge grin to my face when I see people at the gym consistently come to a certain class and make friends. Then you see them form a little click where they always walk into the gym together, save spin bike seats and then you over hear them talking about their weekend plans together. If you are looking for really awesome friends then join a gym. The bonds within your community are priceless.
